FTS is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist for a position with a great company located in Baton Rouge, LA. Our client offers great benefits and a substantial retirement package. SUMMARY


This job requires the individual to understand the basics of accounts receivable and Corporate Collections. It also requires the person to have a general understanding of accounting, reconciliation experience, and computer skills.


The individual must always maintain a steady work habit. The individual must demonstrate the ability to remain focused on a daily routine, repetitive work with interruptions. Individual must be mature, be able to make sound decisions, and be able to exercise independent judgment and discretion in the best interests of the employer. The individual must be able to interact with customers, vendors and employees at all levels within the organization in a professional, business-like manner, while treating all such individuals with dignity and respect.


This job is demanding in terms of time management, knowledge, skills, and commitment to complete repetitive daily tasks. Urgency and pressure for prompt, accurate results are routine. It requires the individual to efficiently handle inquiries and accounting problems while maintaining a professional and positive relationship with the customer, vendor, supervisor, and co-workers. The job calls for willingness and the ability to work some overtime. Individual must be aggressive at collecting invoices past established terms without being aggressive to our customers.

REQUIRED AND PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS
Associates Degree in Accounting is preferred
3 years or more in industrial or an adjacent business segment in an accounting type position
