As a Crew Foreman you will be responsible for overseeing the overall operations surrounding a construction site. A Foreman has the responsibility of determining the priorities for work to be done, sometimes based on their own initiative and authority. A qualified Foreman should be adequately knowledgeable and experienced in nearly all positions associated with their crew. A Foreman is responsible for all employees on their crew and all assets assigned to their crew. When problems arise, the foreman shall be competent enough to handle the situation with little to no supervision. Foreman shall ensure workers obey all OSHA and company healthy, safety, and environmental policies. Foreman are expected to participate as a vital member of the company and contribute towards the success of the organization. The Foreman is expected to promote a team approach and maintain dialogue with all employees to exchange information and gather ideas.
The following are the primary responsibilities of the Crew Foreman:
Possess the ability to effectively and efficiently manage one crew with little to no supervision.
Must be knowledgeable in all job site safety policies and practices and instruct others on the importance and practices of job site safety.
