FTS is seeking a Parts Department Leader for a Direct Hire opportunity with our client in the Covington, LA area.

Position Summary

Digitize the Parts Business
Redesign the structure and operations of our business to a fully digital platform that will allow for continual development and improvement in the future.
Ecommerce Development
Advance our Parts Ecommerce System into a simple, accurate and effective customer interface that results in 50% of parts sales moving through Ecommerce within 18 months, 60% within 24 months and 80% within 48 months.
Develop a Roll Out Plan for the full integration of drawings, exploded views and pictures for every part for every engine line within our Ecommerce Parts System.
Refine and relaunch Intercompany Digital Parts Interface on the Ecommerce platform within 18 months and 100% utilization of Digital Parts Interface within 36 months.
Coach the Parts Team to effectively drive customers to the online portal and covert customers to online users rather than call in customers.
Parts Management System Implementation
Implement the Parts Management System to optimize data analytics for the division to improve automation and business management in 12 months.
Automate reordering and reporting for the business unit utilizing the Parts Management System within 12 months.
Utilize the Parts Management System to develop effective KPI Metrics for the department and be able to measure the performance of the department on all levels within 12 months.
Utilize the data from the Parts Management Systems in collaboration with vendors to achieve a > 90% Fill Rate on all orders with the goal of a 100% Fill Rate.
Segregate Safety Parts Stock from Standard Parts Stock and report turns for each stocking class. Utilize the Parts Management System to implement ordering and stocking changes to optimize turns and continually improve the turn rate or each class of inventory.
Coach the Parts Team to utilize data and information to drive their decisions and daily actions rather than the habits of the past.

Maximize Operational Efficiency and Performance
Optimize the efficiency and performance of the Parts Department operations by simplifying systems and coaching the team to a high level of performance and understanding. Utilize creativity and innovative thinking to explore and expand our markets while working with our manufacturers from around the world to develop stronger working relationships that deliver superior results.
Throughput Process Optimization
Develop systems to track the Order through Delivery Process for every product that moves through the department internally and externally. Benchmark the best in the industry and develop systems to improve annual Order through Delivery processing performance by a minimum of 15% per year.
Customer Satisfaction Coaching
Implement a Custom Satisfaction System to track the overall satisfaction of our customers with our Parts Systems and Personnel. Develop a baseline for the satisfaction of our customers and continually implement the necessary changes to achieve above industry average for customer satisfaction.
Develop a team of highly skilled and capable Parts Experts that are knowledgeable of every product we represent and have the customer service skills to deliver an exceptional customer experience every time.
Creative Sales Growth
Apply proactive sales activities that are employed to penetrate new customers and markets. Actively update and modify these initiatives to deliver new customer growth of 15% per year and new market growth of 10% per year.
International Engine Manufacturer Collaboration
Collaborate with the Engine Manufacturers around the World to develop systems that ensure effective communication, availability and delivery of parts and information between our companies. Develop strong working relationships with the necessary personnel to ensure effective communication and trust is maintained throughout challenging situations.
