Job Description


Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking a Warehouse Associate/ Customer Service Representative (CSR) for a contract to hire position with a leading client in Harvey, LA. This position will be accountable for the following daily actions: receives, stores, and distributes material, tools, equipment, and products within establishments by performing the following duties. Additionally, qualified candidates will have the ability to sell corporate products to business and industrial establishments or individuals over the telephone or from a store sales counter by performing the following duties. Client prefers candidates with a CDL-B+ that are willing to wear multiple hats within their organization.

Reads production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
Conveys materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas.
Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
Fills requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distributes items to production workers or assembly line.
Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves, or conveys orders to packing station or shipping department.
Marks materials with identifying information.
Opens bales, crates, and other containers.
Records amounts of materials or items received or distributed.
Weighs or counts items for distribution within plant to ensure conformance to company standards. Arranges stock parts in specified sequence for assembly by other workers.
Uses computer to enter records.
Compiles worksheets or tickets from customer specifications.
Completes requisition forms to order supplies from other plant departments.
Prepares parcels for mailing.
Maintains inventory records.
Makes outbound lead follow-up calls to potential and existing customers by telephone and email
to qualify leads and sell products and services.
Handles inbound sales lead calls to convert calls into sales.
Overcomes technical and business objections of prospective customers.
Provides product demos to qualified customers on request.
Emphasizes salable features, quotes prices and credit terms, and prepares sales orders for orders obtained.
Tracks stock levels.
Estimates date of delivery to customer, based on knowledge of own firm' s production and delivery schedules.
Coordinates customer training.
Builds and maintains customers relationships.
Enters new customer data and other sales data for current customers into computer database.
Works with outside sales representatives to keep account activities and literature up to date.

The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 50 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
